Creating Community

The American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts could not make the great strides it has without the support of the people. You are the ones who contact your legislators, show up at rallies and spend time in your homes and offices discussing our issues with colleagues, friends and family members. You often ask how you can get even more involved. This page is for you.

**Worcester area residents, visit ACLUM's Worcester Chapter page

1  Start an ACLU Task Force. Organize your community. Email Nancy to find a group near you.

2  Sign up for email alerts. You may already receive these from the national ACLU, but we send a monthly roundup and occasional emergency alerts on Massachusetts issues.» Sign up

3  Take Action! Email your legislators and influence their votes on critical bills.
»Take Action

4  Host a film screening. Open your home to friends and family or organize a public gathering at a local library or community center. » Host a screening

5  Organize a protest. Click here to learn about your rights (pdf) and call our office so we can help you spread the word: 617.482.3170

6  Volunteer. We occasionally need clerical assistance in our offices. Email us to learn more. Please include your name, phone number, interests and availability.
